Week Notes 28th Feb 25

28th February 2025

One thing I have learnt in work is the need to keep focused on the upcoming horizon.

The landscape changes quickly and if you are too busy ruminating on what has occurred you will be missing the golden opportunities that are constantly arsing.

On the same theme I can see how quickly work can be progressed by informal chats with the Team.  We have a morning Huddles and any wee thoughts or niggles can be resolved by a quick brain storm with each other.  Face to face contact cannot be underestimated in this brave new world of Teams life post Covid.

We should be in control of Technology and not allow it to control us.

I think the power of connection can be reached over the Teams when values are aligned. A one hour meeting this morning with Stakeholders has produced a few valuable leads and follow up meetings are booked in for next week.

This is because we are connected on the Why we do what we do.  In that regard the Technology assists us but when there is the disconnect the ubiquitous Meetings that Teams can afford can be a slow death.

Definitely Quality over Quantity.  Third Sector excels at – and demonstrates the power of authenticity in driving efficiency and impacts.

In that vein I hope IT can overcome the challenges that our latest project poses for the community to access in our Bureau- Keep up the vision and will update as I go.
