Week Note 7th March 25

Nothing like Firsts to make one Nervous.
First days at school, first days at university, first interviews and first days at work. Well it was a Big First this week.
My first AGM as a Chief Officer!
So many loose ends to round up and gather all the cats in one place. The roaming through other people’s work who are not around to find out what I needed to do. So easy for the mind to race to worst case scenarios!
Amongst all the frenzy it is easy to forget that I am embedded in a very competent Team. From the experienced Board to the Admin at the Bureau it all seamlessly flowed, and I even found myself enjoying the night.
As many things it was the thought rather than the reality that created the FEAR!
So grateful for the Team around me and the very inspiring speech by local Councillor Sarah Dickinson. It really brings to life the work of the Council and the drive and commitment she displays.
The next one will not give me such a FRIGHT but there will be improvements that only experience can bring.
We resist coming out the Comfort Zone, but we survive and grow from it.
