14th April 2025

Things that happened this week at KAMCAB

  1. Flex the IMPACT

There is always a need to bring together the Impact of the Bureau alongside tightening up our Processes.  The wonders of creating an online calendar with actions throughout the year with Actions for the Team is a thrill only a Manager can feel.  Here is our little picture that details the impact of the month of March- a picture can tell a thousand words and there is much behind these figures that will be more fully revealed in our upcoming Good News Bulletin is currently in gestation for a full birth soon- Watch this space

  1. The TEAM HUM

It was the largest Team meeting since I joined and so heartening to see the brainstorming and ideas created amongst the Team.  A presentation from fellow organisation led to ideas of effective Collaboration.  Big Thanks to Ben of Christians against Poverty- Great work and enthusiasm – very much our blood brothers.

  1. The TEAM EAT

Easter social- Sandwiches and Cake.  Shooting the breeze with colleagues.  Conversations as diverse as wellbeing projects with the Police next door to Salsa dancing!   Kindly donated by our Church organisation upstairs in beautiful room.  Court room 2- how lovely these beautiful old buildings are put to good public use.  Casual conversations create connections and important links both socially and professionally.

  1. The Citizen Advice Scotland Plans in the Pipeline

Met with Head of Business Development at CAS for the upcoming Social Security Scotland Advocacy tender- So exciting the opportunity to develop and extend our reach of supporting those with learning needs to claim their entitlements-Shout out to Tara McGregor-  I fully understand the huge amount of work that goes into these bids and the multiple hands around the fruitions.  A great testimony to the passion and professionalism in our Citizens Advice Network- Looking forward to the email announcing the successful bid and the planning for delivery in our Bureau to be forthcoming.
